Too often we take the simple things of God for granted, like HIS LOVE! We have been told He loves us, and some of us have recognized His love, but do we allow ourselves time to experience His love? No one is exempt from this question; we all get too busy at times to just “be still” in His presence, but thank God for His mercy because He always meets us when we come before Him!
So, let us dig in and answer the question: “How can we experience God’s love”?
When a child needs comfort, do we push them away? No, we pull them into our lap, hug them and hold them until they feel better, until they feel secure. We need to see our Daddy God in the same manner, wanting to hold us until we know and feel His peace, until we have the security of knowing He is in control of everything that concerns us because HE LOVES US! For no other reason but because He loves us! Catch that for yourself and know that no matter what you are going through,
John 3:16-17 – 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
This picture encourages me that once we give our hearts to the Lord, we can be locked in to His heart forever! The scriptures tell us we are sealed by the blood of Jesus – Thank You Jesus! (Clarity can be found on this subject in the next blog.)
May your heart be filled with the fullness of God’s love, may you receive all the healing you need to identify with His love, and may you remember the greatest commandments we have been given and act upon them:
Matthew 22:36-40 – 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
My prayer for you:
Ephesians 3:16-19 – 16 May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, 18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; 19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself]. Our promise:
Romans 8:35 – 35 Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (AMP)
Romans 8:38-39 – 38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
