This morning I was driving our precious granddaughter to kindergarten. With excitement in her voice she said, “Hey Grandma, play ‘Let Me Tell You About My Jesus’.” I knew she wanted me to turn on the radio, but she specifically wanted to hear this song. This little one has already invited Jesus into her heart and loves to sing about Jesus. She is very inquisitive about Heaven and God, and loves to hear the stories in the Bible.
The simplicity of her request quickened my spirit as to how many missed opportunities I have that I did not share my Jesus with those God has placed in my path.
Jesus said in Mark 1:38, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”
The same purpose that Jesus had on this earth is our purpose also, which is reaching lost souls for the Kingdom of God.
He told the Disciples in The Great Commission (Mark 16:15-18), 15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Oh my, this should recharge our batteries. We should be about the Father’s business; He has much that needs done in these current days. Let us be a willing participant. Let us be a willing vessel. Let us be a servant of the Most High. Let us believe that signs (God’s workings) will follow us as we spread the Gospel and tell others of His great love.
Yes, there is work to do. Thank You Father for using our granddaughter to remind me of my purpose!
