It is one of those mornings when I want to hear what God wishes to speak this day, so I flipped open His Word and here is where it opened:
Philippians 1:9-11TLB
9 My prayer for you is that you will overflow more and more with love for others, and at the same time keep on growing in spiritual knowledge and insight, 10 for I want you always to see clearly the difference between right and wrong, and to be inwardly clean, no one being able to criticize you from now until our Lord returns. 11 May you always be doing those good, kind things that show you are a child of God, for this will bring much praise and glory to the Lord.
Although this scripture is from Paul and Timothy, written to the pastors and deacons and all Christians in Philippi (verse 1), I can’t help but to receive this unto my own heart from God Himself today. There is no better way to begin a new year than to receive wisdom and knowledge from our Heavenly Father!
So, sensing this is for me, what shall I do?
Why will I do these things?
Knowing that I require His touch and His leading to conquer and achieve these goals, I am grateful to read verses 4-6. “4 When I pray for you, my heart is full of joy 5 because of all your wonderful help in making known the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. 6 And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in His grace until His task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.”
Thank You Jesus, for I know you pray for all of us constantly and consistently! With your help, this is achievable, and I will stay on the path you have destined for me to travel – all For YOUR Glory!
As you open the Word of God, open your heart to hear what God is saying to you. Then what He speaks to you, make it your prayer. As Paul and Timothy expressed love and joy for their Christian brothers and sisters, how much more do you think God feels for us as we fellowship with Him? He is waiting and He is willing to do and be all that you need!
