At 2:37 am on October 28, 2024, I was awakened by the words “A Forge”. I quickly got up to write these words and as I was walking, I heard more, “A Forge is coming, press through.”
While waiting for more interpretation of what the Lord was saying, I heard in my Spirit, “When does a light get the brightest? In the dark.”
I received nothing more and I did not want to rely on my emotions, for I knew better. I was leaning into what my spirit sensed, but was it negativity, a caution? It is human nature to go there first, so I remained prayerful. But no, I felt the Lord was strengthening me for the next step. So, with His loving kindness and peace, I could lie back down to sleep.
That morning as I woke, I wanted to reference the word forge.
Similar words for this definition are hammer out, beat into shape.
While searching for the meaning of the word forge, I saw this question, “What does forging mean in life?” The answer was “consciously choosing to do good, to create beauty and abundance for the ones you care about, and to become a better person every day.”1
Depending on what season of your life you are presently in, is what definition will speak to you. God works this way to keep us growing in our spiritual walk.
My concern however was reading a definition in the Webster’s Dictionary 1828, relating to counterfeit.
Although I know this definition relates to forgery, I relate the word counterfeit to the Anti-Christ in these last of the last days and how he plans to counterfeit Jesus Christ our Savior.
That is the devil’s plan and that is why the Word of God tells us multiple times to “Take Heed, Watch, and Pray” so that we are not deceived in these last days.
1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Revelation 19:7 – Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.
Did you read that? We (the Bride of Christ, the Church) must prepare ourselves! That means we cannot just sit and WAIT for His return without any action on our part.
What do we do to make ourselves ready for the marriage of the Lamb? What is this verse saying?
Jesus spoke the Great Commission before He ascended to Heaven in Mark 16:15-18 – 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
In Matthew 22, we read the Parable of the Wedding Feast. A King arranged a marriage for his son and sent his servants to invite people to the prepared feast. What captured my attention was seeing that the king had sent out invitations three times before anyone came. It shows God is in relentless pursuit of all people, inviting us to participate and celebrate in the Kingdom of God. He desires that no one perishes!
We are commissioned to ensure that those around us are given their invitation to the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9). We know the hour is late, so what are we doing about it?
Revelation 9:9 – Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

I believe there is a shaking coming my friend, to see who is truly found in Christ and who is playing games. The following scriptures have come to my mind and heart as I finish this blog:
I recently heard a Pastor say that the reason why judgement must begin in the house of the Lord is so that the church will once again become powerful. My, what a statement! Yes, Lord, Yes! The world needs to see Your miracle working power again!
If it was not going to be hard or inconvenient, God would not need to say, “Press through”. May we bind together and lean into where our help comes from:
Stay close to Jesus, He is praying for you! Read Psalms 91 to remain in peace. Lean into HIS voice and be ready to obey. Time is of the essence.
Hebrews 10:25 – not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Matthew 13:36-43 – The Parable of the Wheat and Tares Explained – 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” 37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Another example is found in Matthew 25 regarding sheep and goats.
