As we look around the world, we must ask the question “What is going on?”
I currently have a pinched nerve in my back which basically brought me to a standstill. Recently, I was having a bad night, unable to sleep, enduring pain, and the devil started lying to me as he usually does, speaking, “You are getting worse, it’s not getting any better. Why keep praying. Look at all the sickness, the marriage problems, lukewarmness, hard-heartedness in the church, all that you have been praying for. Nothing is happening. Your God isn’t hearing you.” I felt the enemy was laughing out loud.
Previously, I was meditating on Matthew 7:7 and in so doing I heard the word “Petition”, which means to “ask or pursue”. This led me to ask the question, “God, where are You?” I quickly heard from the Holy Spirit, “Get a piece of paper and pencil.” Then I heard the words “Ask, Seek, Knock, Find. Where are you?”
God continued to speak through His Spirit as quickly as I could write:
Definition of awe is “astonished, wonder, amazement, inspiring”.
God wants us to see how big He is. Nothing is impossible! We cannot put Him on our level, He is too great!
The Bible tells us that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. The fear that God wants, our minds cannot comprehend; it is the realization of how great, how awesome, how big our God is.
A Call to Worship and Obedience
Psalms 95:1-8
1Oh come, let us sing to the Lord!
Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
3 For the Lord is the great God,
And the great King above all gods.
4 In His hand are the deep places of the earth;
The heights of the hills are His also.
5 The sea is His, for He made it;
And His hands formed the dry land.
6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.
Today, if you will hear His voice:
8 “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion,
As in the day of trial in the wilderness,
Proverbs 8:17 – “I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me diligently will find Me.”
Deuteronomy 4:29 – “…you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him
with all your heart and with all your soul.”
