We find these answers in the book of Luke. You may have heard it said that if you read one chapter a day in December, by Christmas you will know Jesus. I go one step further and say that you will have revelation of what Christmas love represents.
JESUS, Christmas Love, is not to be celebrated one day a year.
JESUS, Christmas Love, is not to be celebrated one month a year.
JESUS, Christmas Love, is not to be celebrated just one season.
No! JESUS, Christmas Love, is to be celebrated and shared 365 days a year, 24/7!
May we open our hearts and homes this year to celebrate not just the birth of Jesus in a manger, but the risen Savior of the world! May we spread peace and joy to all that we know, being the light and love of Jesus!
Take time to spend intimate time with your Risen Savior, praise Him for who He is! Allow Him to fill you with His everlasting love, joy, and peace to overflowing. Then we will not only have the love and patience needed to get through a busy season, but to celebrate Christmas for what it truly is – JESUS!
—–
If you celebrate Christmas at all, you find it a joyous time of the year. Children are filled with excitement and anticipation of finding gifts under the tree. Family members are entertained and delighted at the smiles and giggles throughout the process of opening them. Many of us find joy and happiness when families gather. In certain instances, this is their annual gathering, so it is always eagerly anticipated.
For most people, the Christmas season brings considerable joy, capitalizing on sharing love with one another. The world may use words such as “it’s a magical time of the year.” As Christians, we monopolize on sharing our love with gifts and love offerings like the Magi did when Jesus was born.
This gives me a reality check on not forgetting those less fortunate. Remembering those that have lost loved ones and knowing this is their first Christmas without them. Realizing that there is sickness among family members in this season that are not able to enjoy their together.
So, as we celebrate the reason of the season, let us be reminded of those around us and again….be the Christmas Love that all those around us need.
