As you can tell, our scripture is Isaiah 61 and we know that Jesus quoted a portion of this in Luke 4.
Isaiah 61:1-3, 7 – “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; 7 Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
Now, it is my desire to encourage you this day, to remind you of God’s love and His excellent grace. But because I am a challenger for spiritual maturity, we are going to delve into the nitty gritty of our hearts.
So, it is vitally important that you hear these statements:
The question lies in WHERE do you want to be tomorrow and WHO do you want to be? Our answers should be: In the perfect will of God and more like Jesus Christ, the Anointed One. So that we can say as Isaiah did, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, the Lord has anointed me to…” and you fill in the blank.
God’s GRACE goes deeper than any sin or trial. But it is our job to allow Him to pluck it up and deliver us. The root problem must be acknowledged to be healed. God desires to HEAL the hearts of Mothers!

Isaiah 53 tells us that Jesus took ALL temptations, burdens, sickness, and endured the cross on our behalf. Today He can look at us and say, “I understand”. He is just waiting for us to lean into Him. He desires to heal our hurts, the ones that no one else sees.
I love this verse in the Message translation:
Hebrews 4:14-16 – 14-16 Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.
Says it plainly, doesn’t it?
Too often we take the simple things of God for granted, like HIS LOVE! We know He loves us, but do we allow ourselves time to experience His love? No one is exempt from this question; we all get too busy at times to just be still in His Presence. But thank God for His mercy for He meets us when we come before Him. He willingly waits for us to surrender our will to Him!
Ephesians 3:16-19NKJV – 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Because of God’s LOVE, we can fully trust Him! Surrender all that you are concerned about to Him! Allow Him to hold you, there is no safer place. God’s love pouring all over us is our healing balm.
You may have heard this hundreds of times. But there is a difference in Information and Revelation:
Therefore, I am praying that God’s anointing activates new revelation to change hearts and lives this day.
1 John 2:27 – But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
God’s anointing is the burden-removing, yoke-destroying power of God! (Isaiah 10:17)
We need our burdens removed! We need God to destroy what is hindering us and keeping us from moving forward for Him! The anointing IS the power of God, so the anointing is what we desire!
David Wilkerson said there is a life to live that we know we are saved, yet we feel miserable. This is so sad to me knowing Jesus came that we could live life abundantly. It is our choice, so let us choose to have everlasting joy as expressed in Isaiah 61.
What is keeping you bound? A secret sin, unforgiveness, unbelief, fear, self-pity?
The thing is, you cannot go any further in your walk with God until you release the pain, the hurt to Him. If unforgiveness is holding you back, I implore you – PLEASE choose to forgive. John Hagee made this statement: “Forgive me for being so blunt, but if you don’t practice forgiveness, it will destroy the quality of your life on earth and even put at risk your entry through the gates of heaven. Forgiveness is that important.”
Needing to forgive means you have been hurt and usually not by any of your own doing. But forgive we must.
Know this: Deep sorrow, deep pain allows the Lord to minister in the most special ways. All we need to do is submit and lean into Him. He longs to put His arms around us to comfort us. Remember, Jesus says, “I understand”. Indeed, He does, for none of us have been through what He endured.
What has been your deep sorrow? A death of a spouse or child is unbearable pain. There are various kinds of abuse, none to be discounted. Our God is a healer, a comforter, our loving Father; allow Him to heal the hidden things in your heart.
No matter what our burdens are, allowing God to deal with our pain is the only way to heal. We must be determined to have “change”. Numerous times we have had to say, “Enough is enough” and then stand until we feel God’s presence and know that we Know HE is in control of our situations.
In Genesis 32:24-29, Jacob wrestled with God all night and Jacob told the Angel of the Lord that he will not let go of Him until God transformed his character. He knew that God could heal relationships and reverse the results that had occurred.
The Shunammite woman in 2 Kings, chapter 4 grabbed Elisha’s feet in her distress. Elisha had prophesied that she would have a son. She did but he died. However, her faith was in Elisha to raise her son from the dead, realizing he was a prophet, a man of God.
There are many examples such as these found in the Word of God. They are there for our benefit, to understand that we are not alone in our troubles, and to see examples of God’s love and promises that are meant for us.

God not only sees you as you are today, but your future.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Focus on that verse, Rest in knowing that!
God promises us in:
Jeremiah 33:3 – ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Let’s determine today to receive from God. Name your burden, your pain and give it to God! You know He is the only one that can heal it, take it, dissolve it.

Receive His Promises:
1 John 4:4 – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
James 4:8 – Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Isaiah 60:1 – Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
Philippians 4:6-8 – 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
In other words, count your blessings. What the enemy meant for harm, God will turn it into greater blessings!
