One morning as the sun began to rise over the horizon, creation became alive in my soul.
I took a cup of coffee to the highest point in our home to watch the beauty unfold and to my delight, my spirit started to leap.
The red hue along the skyline began to penetrate the hills surrounding me, seemingly to call out “Awake, Arise, for there is a new day dawning”.
I sat in the stillness of the morning, allowing peace to envelope my heart and mind. It was much needed this day, as a troubled heart kept waking me through the night. Though each time I would pray and quote scripture, complete peace never came.
As the morning glow began to spread and become brighter, I watched as dark clouds loomed above the tremendous splendor that was creating a new beginning.
Soon the darkness of the clouds was overtaking the sun making its debut. At once my heart was speaking to God, “Father, Your light overshadows and overtakes the darkness”. With those words spoken unto my Heavenly Father, I watched in amazement. The clouds became a lighter gray, then some shades of red were popping through. As I continued to watch, the gray clouds were dispelled completely, and the blue sky was shining ever so brightly.
Oh, what peace was left in my heart, knowing that God Himself cares so much about us that He removes and dispels the evil that tries to surround us! God is all we need, every moment of every day! In fact, He is more than enough! What do you need from Him today?
This scripture reveals that we can trust God in all things:
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

If you find yourself struggling today, whisper the name of JESUS, the name above ALL names, the One who fulfilled the promises and prophecies of God! Allow Jesus, the light of the world, to dispel your darkness!
Give your Father the turmoil that is rising in you this day. His peace will return to you in abundance!
Oh, hear the prayers of Your people this day Lord! Release love, joy, and peace to each heart so that they will place their hope and trust in You! Help them to see that You are dispelling the darkness, the evil, from their lives. Help them to know that they are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony! AMEN
As a familiar hymn says, “Trust and Obey, for there’s no other way, but to Trust and Obey”.
Hang on to God’s unchanging hand! Remember that His love for you never changes!
