Could it be that we are seeing the last of the last signs before Jesus appears?
Matthew 24:14 says “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
For the last several years, we have seen much of Matthew 24 being fulfilled with wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences. Now we are watching nations starting to collapse, economies throughout the world are being affected. But Jesus said the gospel will go throughout the world, and then the end will come. Millions are coming to Christ throughout the world. Those that have been spiritually dry for centuries, who have been worshiping pagan gods and idols, now see truth and are being set free.
As I sat at my desk, praying over a speaking engagement, I began to ask the Lord to give me something to give to His people in America. It seems that so many are spiritually dry. God gave me a vision of a river, which was flowing everywhere, covering the entire world. It started at the top of the mountains and began to flow through the valleys. As it went, it began to pick up other streams, and then began to pick up rivers. Rivers began to pick up rivers, until it became a large river throughout the world, resembling a flood. This river did not pass anything; it seemed to flow through each home. I asked the Lord what He was showing me. I began to realize this may be something like the river Ezekiel had seen in Chapter 47:1-12. Ezekiel saw a river in the last days that would flow from the throne of God. This river went in all directions. This river flowed through the dry valleys. Wherever this river went, life began to spring up along the river. However, this river did not flow through the swamps and marshes. They were given over to salt. God showed me that this represented religion. The river flowed right pass the religious, they were untouched by this crystal clear, healing river. Then I realized that the Lord was showing me that these are the people of the religious sect that chose not to get into the flow. Therefore, they continued to dry up. I am speaking of establishments that allowed God’s Word to get stale and have compromised His truth. They also have contained their faith to a few inside their perimeters, stopping the flow and having no outsource. These were the people that chose not to get involved in God’s outpouring. As we know, swamps and marshes are created because there is no direct inlet or outlet to allow the water to continue to flow. However, God is calling the prophets to go to the swamps and marshes, as Isaiah did in Chapter 6, when the Lord touched Isaiah’s lips with a live, hot coal. At first, Isaiah did not feel qualified to work for the Lord, but after receiving this touch from the Lord, he proclaimed, “Here am I Lord, send me.” When Isaiah inquired of the Lord how long should he continue to go to these people, the Lord answered him “Until they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant.” (Verses 10, 11)
As I began to study this out, many of the other prophets had seen the same type of river. Joel 3:18 is one of the references that tells us that Joel saw a river flowing through the Valley of Acacias, which means a dry barren place.
Could it be that these visions are the great outpouring that God promises in the last days, just before His return?
In the river that God showed Ezekiel, you could have as much of God’s flow that you wanted. Ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep, or a river that could not be crossed, water in which one must swim. Could it be that God’s flow is beginning to pour out upon this earth? When we see much of the world coming to the Lord by the millions, will we as the American Church get into the flow or will we get into the swamps and marshes? Each person must make this decision. I also believe that the Lord showed me that there will be much life along this river, which represents His provision, no matter what comes to the earth in the coming years. If we get into His flow, the provision for us will be from Him. Let us step out and get in. I do not want to be passed by.
After sharing this with the church I spoke to, we heard many testimonies of how spiritually dry the people were feeling, yet how God touched their hearts in reminding them it was their choice how deep they wish to get into the flow of His river. May God bless you and may He truly reveal His truth to you personally!
